The Grilled Pineapple & Avocado Lime Crema Dog

  • 4 Miller's Beef Franks "The Colossal"
  • 4 hot dog buns
  • 2 cups pineapple, sliced
  • 1 cup pickled red onions
  • 1/2 cup cilantro, chopped, divided
  • 2 avocados
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 3 tbsp. lime juice
  • 1 garlic clove
  • 1/2 tsp. black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp. salt

Avocado Lime Crema Sauce

  1. Slice avocados in half and remove pits. Scoop out the avocado and place in a food processor.
  2. Add the sour cream, lime juice, garlic, 2 tbsp. cilantro salt and pepper to the food processor. Puree until the mixture is smooth and creamy.
  3. Place in refrigerator, until it's time to build the hot dogs.

Hot Dog

  1. Preheat outdoor gas grill to medium heat. If using a charcoal grill, arrange coals to one side of the grill to create a direct(high heat) and indirect (low heat) cooking areas.

  2. Place hot dogs on indirect cooking area and cook for 4-7 minutes, turning often. Remove once hot dogs are grilled to your liking.

  3. Place pineapple on grill and cook for 7-10 minutes, or until it begins to char slightly. Remove from grill and dice into bite size chunks.

  4. Place hot dogs in buns, top with avocado lime crema sauce, pineapple and pickled onions. Finish off with a sprinkle of fresh cilantro.
