4 Servings

  • 4 Miller’s Polish Sausages
  • 1 sourdough loaf baguette, cut into hot dog length
  • 1 cup marinara
  • 1 yellow onion, thinly sliced
  • 1 green bell pepper, sliced
  • 3 cups mushrooms, sliced
  • 4 slices provolone cheese
  • 1 tbsp. olive oil

  1. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add onions and cook until translucent, approximately 7-10 minutes.

  2. Add mushrooms and bell peppers to skillet. Continue to cook until mushrooms are cooked through, about 7-10 minutes. Reduce heat to low while you prepare the hot dogs.

  3. In a separate skillet over medium-high heat, add water to cover surface with half an inch of water. Heat until water starts to boil.

  4. Add hot dogs and roll frequently until browned on all sides.

  5. Preheat oven to broil.

  6. Slice bread like a sandwich roll and brush inside of each with marinara sauce. Lay a piece of cheese on top of each open face bread roll, and place in oven for 2-3 minutes, or until cheese is melted.

  7. Place hot dogs in sandwich rolls and spoon a generous portion of peppers, onions & mushrooms mixture into each. Serve with some extra marinara sauce for dipping.
